AFL Media\u2019s Cal Twomey is reporting that Giants midfielder Jacob Hopper is a good chance of getting to the Cats this trade period.<\/p>\n

Hopper, 25, is out of contract at the end of the 2023 season so the Cats would need to put forward a suitable trade.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Hopper is a good chance to be right in the mix for the Cats,\u201d Twomey said on SEN Breakfast<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe reported about a month ago their interest in him as a pre agent.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019d have to trade for him obviously. He\u2019s still got a year to go on his contract with the Giants.\u201d<\/p>\n

SEN\u2019s Sam Edmund also reported on the weekend that the Cats \u201chave expressed a real interest\u201d in Hopper who has emerged as their \u201cnumber one target.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hopper has missed most of 2022 through injury.<\/p>\n
