{"id":84758,"date":"2022-08-18T04:46:09","date_gmt":"2022-08-17T18:46:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bendigotimes\/?p=84758"},"modified":"2022-08-18T09:06:21","modified_gmt":"2022-08-17T23:06:21","slug":"storm-aims-to-square-ledger","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bendigotimes\/sport\/storm-aims-to-square-ledger\/","title":{"rendered":"Storm aims to square ledger"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HUMBLED by a fifty-eight-point loss at Golden Square in round nine, Strathfieldsaye Storm will aim to square the ledger in Saturday\u2019s final round of the Bendigo Bank Bendigo Football League.<\/p>\n<p>Storm is on home turf at Triple M Park in Tannery Lane for a qualifying final prelude between the clubs and it\u2019s second against third with both teams are in great form.<\/p>\n<p>Strathfieldsaye won its latest hit-out at Kangaroo Flat by 113 points as Callum McCarty kicked five goals in a best afield performance and James Schischka also booted five.<\/p>\n<p>Storm\u2019s best included Daniel Clohesy, Hunter Lawrence, Jake Moorhead and Bode Stevens.<\/p>\n<p>Golden Square inflicted the ladder leading Gisborne\u2019s second defeat of the season in a hard-fought 10-point victory on a muddy Fur Life Oval in Wade Street.<\/p>\n<p>The Bulldogs best in that clash were onballer Ryan Hartley, Jon Coe, Jack Hickman and captain Jack Geary.<\/p>\n<p>Storm and Square both have plenty of running power, skilful onballers and powerful forward lines.<\/p>\n<p>Key targets in Strathfieldsaye\u2019s attack include Lachlan Sharp and Harry Conway who take on a strong Dogs\u2019 defence which had Jon Coe and Liam Barrett star in their latest victory.<\/p>\n<p>Gisborne returns to Gardiner Reserve to take on Eaglehawk.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_84760\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-84760\" style=\"width: 250px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-84760\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2022\/08\/Bendigo-Times-BNFL-Footy-09-07-22-11-crop-e1660727161947-250x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2022\/08\/Bendigo-Times-BNFL-Footy-09-07-22-11-crop-e1660727161947-250x300.jpg 250w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2022\/08\/Bendigo-Times-BNFL-Footy-09-07-22-11-crop-e1660727161947-855x1024.jpg 855w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2022\/08\/Bendigo-Times-BNFL-Footy-09-07-22-11-crop-e1660727161947-768x920.jpg 768w, https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2022\/08\/Bendigo-Times-BNFL-Footy-09-07-22-11-crop-e1660727161947.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-84760\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Currently sixth on the ladder, Eaglehawk could still make the post-season, if they beat Gisborne by a big margin.
