AMICUS Community Services has appointed Kevin Feeney to the role of CEO for the Bendigo-based not-for-profit provider after a months-long recruitment process.<\/p>\n
Mr Feeney took over the role last week from interim CEO Ken Marchingo, who\u2019d been at the helm of the organisation as it sought a replacement for its long-serving former head Ann-Maree Davis who departed the organisation in May after 13 years.<\/p>\n
Amicus provides services for people of all ages seeking assistance with bodies such as the NDIS and TAC, as well helping people navigate residential and aged care.<\/p>\n
Mr Feeney has more than over 20 years of experience leading for-purpose organisations that specialise in disability, education, employment health and community service sectors.<\/p>\n
Amicus board chair Paul Somerville said Mr Feeney is well-credentialed for his new role.<\/p>\n
\u201cKevin\u2019s experience working with some of the most vulnerable and at risk people in our society and solid commercial business acumen will be an incredible asset for Amicus as we move into recovery and reset of the organisation after more than two years of unpredictable pandemic disruption,\u201d Mr Somerville said.<\/p>\n
Mr Feeney previously spent nine years as CEO at bestchance Child Family Care, a large early years community services provider operating in Melbourne and Geelong.<\/p>\n
He also has 11-years as general manager at EACH, a national community services provider, under his belt.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Amicus board believes that Kevin\u2019s desire to make a significant and lasting impact in the lives of others, delivered with a compassionate and ethical approach based on respectful, values and an opportunity for all to contribute, will support a positive and proactive organisation as we work together with participants, families and staff,\u201d Mr Somerville said.<\/p>\n
