THE man behind the mic who\u2019ll be introing competitors at the upcoming Bendigo round of national laugh quest, RAW Comedy, has been announced.<\/p>\n
Melbourne-based funny man, Tim Hewitt, will take on MC duties for the event and the self-titled \u2018Baron of the Beer Garden\u2019, \u2018King of the Kick On\u2019, and \u2018Tsar of the Front Bar\u2019 said he was upbeat about the hosting gig.<\/p>\n
\u201cLove Bendigo and the gigs I\u2019ve done there have been terrific,\u201d Hewitt said. \u201cLooking forward to this cracker.\u201d<\/p>\n
Set for 2pm on Sunday, 5 March at Hustler, the Bendigo round of RAW Comedy will seek to find the funniest local stand-up with a killer tight five to represent the region at a semi-final comp in Melbourne.<\/p>\n
Organisers said limited places for competitors are still available and potential participants should get in touch via laughs@comedyvictoria.com.au. Entry for those keen to get on stage is free.<\/p>\n
Audience tickets for the afternoon of lols are $15 and can be purchased via GoTix of the Capital Theatre.<\/p>\n
