THE Bendigo and Adelaide Bank\u2019s head of economics and research, David Robertson, in partnership with Be.Bendigo will again be hosting the annual State of the Economic Breakfast next week.<\/p>\n
The yearly event sees Mr Robertson give his outlook on everything from global markets to the local economy as well as some insight into the economic research from Australia\u2019s fifth largest bank.<\/p>\n
CEO of Be.Bendigo, Ron Herbert, said he is looking forward to seeing what Mr Robertson has in store for 2023.<\/p>\n
\u201cDavid has basically been involved in this event in some way shape or form, I think it\u2019s the past 14 years,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe generally does a recap of what has happened over the past 12 months.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr Herbert said one of the highlights is seeing Mr Robertson revisit his yearly predictions from 12-months prior.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe makes some predictions or observations as what he thinks is likely to play out over the course of the next year,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cRevisiting those observations from last February is part of the presentation and he self-marks on how close he got with those predictions.”<\/p>\n
\u201cThey are always interesting, but this one will be extremely interesting given there seems to be more and more happening in every 12-month timeframe these days.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr Herbert said that the beginning of the war in Ukraine was \u201cright on the cusp\u201d of Mr Robertson\u2019s presentation last year adding intrigue to his revisited predictions.<\/p>\n
The State of the Economic breakfast is taking place Wednesday, 22 February at the All Seasons Hotel and will kick off at 7am.<\/p>\n
