THE Bendigo Toy Library\u2019s annual Messy Play Day is being held tomorrow at their Spring Gully location.<\/p>\n
The event promises to be a lot of fun for the kids and a lot of clean-up for parents, but the offer of cheap memberships on the day may soften the blow.<\/p>\n
Bendigo Community Toy Library president Jess Widdicombe said she would love to see as many parents and guardians and their kids attend as possible.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s open to anybody,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s a gold coin donation and you can come in between 9.30am and 12pm and have a lot of fun.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ms Widdicombe said there will be a bunch of activities to keep the kids entertained.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will have a lot of messy, colourful sensory experiences set up,\u201d she said. \u201cWe will have coloured spaghetti, coloured rice, magic mud, and buckets full of jelly.<\/p>\n
\u201cBasically, anything that\u2019s messy we have got and we are hoping parents will come along and get some ideas that they can use at home.<\/p>\n
\u201cI recommend bringing along a change of clothes, or an art smock because the little ones are inclined to get really messy!\u201d<\/p>\n
There will also be incentives for parents Ms Widdicombe said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere will be membership specials,\u201d she said. \u201cSo, if you\u2019re not a member you can come along and get a discounted membership just on this day.<\/p>\n
