ARE you looking to get your cat desexed? Well, a local program has some spots open for discounted desexing over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n
The Bendigo Community Cat program is run by Bendigo Animal Relief Centre, or BARC, in conjunction with the City of Greater Bendigo.<\/p>\n
While there was a good number of cats being desexed last Wednesday, there are more spaces available over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s another one next week and I think we\u2019re running a few more after that,\u201d said BARC senior animal attendant Ben Radford.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re just looking for people to log on to the website and put through some applications, and then we\u2019ll get in touch about getting their cats in.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr Radford said cat owners can send through their details on BARC\u2019s website, and once there\u2019s been coordination with vets, the shelter\u2019s staff will get back to them.<\/p>\n
The program has a target to desex 300 cats in the municipality during the year, and that goal is close to being reached.<\/p>\n
Eligible cat owners can get their pets desexed for as low as $20, and the service also includes vaccination, microchipping, and registering if needs be.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
