AFTER three years of cancellations, a wine and music event Vibes & Vino will return to Barrack Reserve Oval at Heathcote on Saturday, 4 November.<\/p>\n
Gates will open at 2pm with live music kicking off at 2.45pm<\/p>\n
\u201cWe last held this event in 2019 and although it was a very wet day it was enjoyed by many,\u201d said Tim Oudenryn from Heathcote Tourism and Development.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn 2020 and 2021 it was cancelled due to COVID-19 and again in 2022 following the terrible flooding event.\u201d<\/p>\n
Vibes & Vino aims to be a family friendly event with live music, an array of local wine, beer and spirits, as well food trucks, market stalls and children\u2019s entertainment on offer.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will be aiming for 1500 to 2000 people,\u201d said Mr Oudenryn.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have a great lineup of music that will attract visitors from Melbourne and surrounding regional areas. Benny Walker and band will headline the evening.\u201d<\/p>\n
Benny Walker was born in Echuca and inherited his passion for music from his father and grandfathers, who were also musicians.<\/p>\n
He performs a blend of soul, reggae, blues and acoustic folk.<\/p>\n
Other artists will include Gabriella Cohen, Bella Deer and Chris Cavill.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere will be a strict no glass policy in the precinct,\u201d said Mr Oudenryn. \u201cPlastic glasses will be available for beverage sales.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will provide some hay bales for seating and visitors can feel free to bring their own chairs and shade.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis will be a dog friendly event but we ask that owners keep their pets on a lead at all times.\u201d<\/p>\n
