NEW leaders have been appointed within local industry advisory committee, the Bendigo Regional Manufacturing Group.<\/p>\n
Sean Myers and Allan Nicholson have been respectively named chair and deputy-chair, and will officially hold their roles from January 2024.<\/p>\n
Mr Myers is the automotive product owner at electric vehicle manufacturer Bortana, while Mr Nicholson is Bendigo Rail Workshops\u2019 business development manager.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am thrilled to take on the position of group chair and look forward to championing the concerns and causes of the manufacturing members,\u201d Mr Myers said.<\/p>\n
BRMG chair of six years Mark Brennan, and his deputy Paul Chapman, are stepping down together.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe time was right to transition the group,\u201d Mr Brennan said. \u201cNew leadership brings fresh perspective, ideas, and direction.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt has been a privilege to represent the industry in this role and I am confident that the BRMG is well positioned for both Sean and Allan to take the group forward.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe BRMG will continue to advocate for BREP [Bendigo Regional Employment Precinct] where possible. Estimates have shown that up to 3000 jobs will be created when this site is realised.\u201d<\/p>\n
BRMG has been running for 22 years, and is an advisory group to municipal staff within the City of Greater Bendigo.<\/p>\n
Members of the BRMG aim to promote and encourage innovation and quality in Bendigo\u2019s manufacturing sector, to grow the industry, create partnerships and jobs, and to boost the local economy.<\/p>\n
A priority project of BRMG members is to advocate for the Goldfields LLEN Passions and Pathways Program.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
