AFTER a tough start in his own life, Josh Blundell enjoys nothing more than giving others a helping hand.<\/p>\n

This week, with a team of supporters and volunteers, he completed a major landscaping project in Bendigo for a man recovering from a serious motorbike accident.<\/p>\n

The accident left Andrew Hazewinkle with a broken pelvis, fractured ribs, a detached rotator cuff, and other injuries.<\/p>\n

“As Andrew copes with the physical and emotional toll of his slow recovery, a well-maintained outdoor space can significantly improve his well-being,” said Mr Blundell.<\/p>\n

“This is especially important as Andrew relies on renting out the space to help manage his mortgage payments after losing his job due to the accident.”<\/p>\n

Mr Hazewinkle, from Melbourne, bought his Bendigo property and planned to do the landscaping himself.<\/p>\n

“I thought it would be a good investment. I could finish it off then rent it out before eventually moving here.<\/p>\n

“The accident on Christmas Day completely changed my plans.<\/p>\n

“I am grateful to Josh, his team and local sponsors for what they’ve done for me.<\/p>\n

“It makes a big difference.”<\/p>\n

Mr Blundell grew up in foster homes where the absence of parental guidance led to struggles with making the right life choices.<\/p>\n

“A stroke of luck changed my life when I was adopted by someone who provided the support I needed,” he said.<\/p>\n

“This taught me about the profound impact caring company can have, often making the difference between despair and hope.”<\/p>\n

Motivated by his own journey, Mr Blundell embarked on a mission of charity, leveraging his experience in the landscaping business.<\/p>\n

“Although in tough times beautifying outdoor spaces might seem like a luxury, green spaces can also play a critical role in mental health.<\/p>\n

“Studies have shown that access to greenery can significantly improve well-being.”<\/p>\n

Through his initiative, Kruzers, Mr Blundell brings the transformative power of greenery to those who need it most.<\/p>\n

“We couldn’t do it without all the help from businesses and volunteers.<\/p>\n

“I have funded a lot of the projects through my own business but if we can get more sponsors on board we can help even more people.”<\/p>\n
