Photo: PETER WEAVING<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am incredibly proud to lead a team that successfully delivered this important race day on the Bendigo Jockey Club calendar.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Golden Mile Raceday drew many families, club members, owners, corporate partners, and racing enthusiasts.<\/p>\n<p>There was plenty happening on and off the track.<\/p>\n<p>Racegoers had a chance to pan for gold through the support of Agnico Eagle Fosterville Mine and Bendigo Heritage Attractions.<\/p>\n<p>BJC chairman Jack Lyons said trainers and participants commented throughout the day Apiam Bendigo should have more Saturday feature race day opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We look forward to building on the success of this day for many years to come,&#8221; Lyons said.<\/p>\n<p>Bendigo trainers were to the fore across the card.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 601px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/24\/2024\/04\/PDW_6034_94769.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"601\" height=\"403\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Jye McNeil has a post-race discussion with owners and connections. Photo: PETER WEAVING<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Toby Lake-trained Linkvue was runner-up in the Apiam Animal Health VOBIS Gold Rush behind the highly touted and short-priced favourite Bold Bastille ($1.10 fav.).<\/p>\n<p>Given the Paris:Impressions of Life 1880 exhibition on show at Bendigo Art Gallery it was apt Bold Bastille would charge to victory.<\/p>\n<p>Bold Bastille is trained by Ben, Will and J.D.
