<\/p>\nKNICK knacks, rarities and plenty of memorabilia will be up for grabs at the second edition of the Bendigo Indoor Antiques and Collectables Fair.<\/p>\n
The event is organised by the Kangaroo Flat Football Netball Club and is a key fundraiser for the sporting group.<\/p>\n
Kangaroo Flat FNC committee member Leeanne Mitchell said this year’s fair is set to be bigger than the successful inaugural event, with a wider variety of items on show to boot.<\/p>\n
“We had about 40 stallholders and this year we’re already 50-plus stalls, so it’s growing,” she said.<\/p>\n
“There will be everything from jewellery, to glassware, military stuff, swords, knives, suits of armour, posters, antique prints and all that sort of thing.”<\/p>\n

Ken Smith, the owner of Bendigo Antiques and Collectables in View Street, said he’s enthusiastically preparing to have his own diverse range of items on display for the second year.<\/p>\n
“I’m actually quite eclectic,” he explained. “A lot of dealers specialise, but when you’re doing a fair, it’s better to have a smattering of everything, because there’s collectors for everything.<\/p>\n
“From stamps and coins, through to matchboxes, to pens, to medals, to lamps, to silver – it’s just amazing what people collect. If you can think of a topic, then somebody wants it.”<\/p>\n
The Bendigo Indoor Antiques & Collectables Fair takes place from 27-28 July at the Bendigo Showgrounds.<\/p>\n
