DEVELOPING business people can learn how to keep their books balanced when Be.Bendigo’s Young Professionals Network hosts a second financial advice seminar on Wednesday 7 August.<\/p>\n

Featuring a panel of three local financial industry experts, the Finance Matters: Mastering Your Money seminar will take place from 6pm to 8pm in The Terrace at Red Energy Arena.<\/p>\n

Next week’s event follows a similar, successful workshop last year at which buying a first home and investing where covered..<\/p>\n

The focus will primarily be on expanding participants’ financial literacy with discussion topics to include budgeting, superannuation, emergency funds and debt management.<\/p>\n

The compere will be Emmy Mulholland, general manager of tax and accounting at Strategem Financial Services in Bendigo.<\/p>\n

Ms Mulholland, a partner at Strategem, has a special interest in small business and has extensive experience in cashflow management, resource modelling, structure advice and various tax issues.<\/p>\n

Also on the panel will be financial planner and founder of Making Cents of Money, Bec Dillon-Hensby.<\/p>\n

She has been active in the financial industry for more than a decade and specialises in comprehensive financial planning and helping clients align their finances with their life goals.<\/p>\n

The third panel member will be Daniel Palmer, a director and financial adviser at Bold Wealth.<\/p>\n

Mr Palmer is an advocate for providing financial literacy education to individuals and businesses, and has made many presentations on the topic to businesses and sporting clubs.<\/p>\n

Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions of the panel on the night. Tickets can be booked on the Humanitix website.<\/p>\n
