She described it as “a great new facility for local Scouts and the wider Bendigo community”.<\/p>\n
“Our support for the construction and upgrades of Scout halls means Scouts in Victoria can participate in activities that enrich their knowledge and leadership skills and foster community connection,” Ms Allan said.<\/p>\n
She said access to Scouting activities supports the positive development and growth of young people by creating opportunities for them to work with others, tackle challenges and lead in their communities.<\/p>\n
Minister for Youth Natalie Suleyman said: “Scouting teaches young people essential life skills including leadership, self-confidence and problem solving \u2013 we’re supporting it to thrive in Victoria.<\/p>\n
“The boost to Strathfieldsaye Scout Hall is a significant asset to our local community and delivers on our investment in Scout halls across the state.”<\/p>\n
Scouts Victoria is one of Victoria’s largest youth organisations and has a membership of more than 20,000 young people and 5000 adult volunteers.<\/p>\n
