Current occupation and background:

I work for Southern Cross university as a teaching associate in Early Childhood Education. I have a long history in education.

How long in the Byron community?

I have lived in Byron for 11 years and have been visiting since 1979.

Community involvement?

Involved heavily in election campaigns over the past eight years and also the Voice campaign. Volunteered to work with children associated with the the Shift Project. Organising community events including race director of Brisbane Marathon Festival and Twilight Running Festival. Played a very significant part in building the running community in Brisbane, building the Marathon School Projec

Guiding values or principles?

Gough Whitlam will always be a guiding light with his policies that embodied empathy, equality and inclusion.

Top three issues facing your area?

Housing. Our team is the only one with the relationships to actually deliver on this, and as a councillor Asren has been working towards this. Completion of the rail trail and coastal development plan. I really support the idea of a community battery.
