Current occupation and background:

Mayor, business management, accounting.

How long in the Byron community?

I have lived here for 15 years.

Community involvement?

Treasurer of not-for-profit organisations, including BAYFM, Mullum SEED and Pocket P&C. Santos Organics general manager for six years.

Guiding values or principles?

Protecting and regenerating our natural environment. I have a strong sense of social justice and ensuring that no one gets left behind,.

Are you or have you associated with any political party or cause?

I was involved with the Greens for eight years, resigning four years into the last Council term. It has influenced me in the sense that I have learnt that parties do not belong in local government.

Preferential voting decisions?

We will promote below-the-line voting. Second choice for mayor is Asren Pugh.

Campaign budget?

Currently working with about $20,000.

Top three issues facing your area?

Number one is housing. Support for businessses. Roads, drains and footpaths.
