How long in the Byron community?

I’ve been a local of Byron Shire since 1995. I have been the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander academic and cultural mentor and coordinator at Byron Bay High School for 10 years.

Community involvement?

Throughout my time here, I’ve been involved in social and environmental activism. Being a teacher at Byron Bay High School and academic has equipped me with strong research, listening, and communication skills.

Guiding values or principles?

A commitment to long-term sustainability, addressing the climate crisis, First Nations justice, and environmental protection.

Are you or have you associated with any political party or cause?

I have been a Greens voter my entire adult life and a Greens member since early 2023.

Top three issues facing your area?

Environmental protection, affordable housing, and support for Indigenous communities. As a councillor, I plan to prioritise protecting sensitive habitats, address our housing issues, and focus on improving housing and health for Indigenous communities.
