Current occupation and background:
A proud Arakwal Bundjalung woman. I own and operate Explore Byron Bay Aboriginal Tours. I also work as an Aboriginal Student Support Officer at TAFE NSW.
Community involvement?
Participating in annual events such as NAIDOC Week and Survival Day, as well as community-led rallies. I’m also a member of the Sisters for Reconciliation Group.
Guiding values or principles?
My values centre around inclusivity, environmental protection, and cultural education. These align closely with the Greens, which is why I’m running as a Greens candidate.
Top three issues facing your area?
Indigenous representation Environmental protection. Cultural preservation. On council, I aim to facilitate open dialogue between council and Indigenous communities, prioritise protecting our environment for future generations, and ensure council values align with the cultural and environmental values of Country. I also want a thriving, sustainable economy that supports us all to live here. As a traditional custodian, I feel I have a cultural duty to Country and community.
