ANDY Colledge and Queenie will descend on the Eltham Hotel on April 26 for an electrifying night as part of their co-headline Australian tour.

Golledge is well known in regional NSW and inner Sydney for his live shows’ unpredictability and his genre-hopping from 1960s country and classic rock & roll.

His debut album, Strength of a Queen, was released in 2022 and won Best Independent Country Album at the AIR Awards 2023. It charted at #3 on ARIA’s Top Vinyl Albums and at #4 on ARIA’s Australian Country Albums.

It was also nominated for Best Country Album at the ARIA Awards 2022 and Best Alternative Country Album at the CMAA Golden Guitar Awards 2023.

His sophomore album Young, Dumb & Wild was released in 2024, and the so-called king of alt-country is described as ‘boozy, rowdy and rocking, but simultaneously heartfelt and personal’ according to Music Feeds, and ‘beyond the quasi-ironic yeehaw agenda, that’s really what country music is all about’.

Golledge is a festival favourite and has performed at BIGSOUND and SXSW Sydney, as well as Out Here in the Field, Meadow, Tamworth Country Music, Winter Bites, Splendour In The Grass, Groundwater Country Music, Euroa Music, Falls, and Riverboats festivals.

With his band of respected alt-country/Americana musicians, the show promises to take audiences from tender to tears to rollicking and dancing wildly.

Melbourne musician Eloise Thetford’s trash queen alter-ego, Queenie, is a fearless performer who wears her heart on her sleeve.

Her live shows are said to ‘shake, shudder and smoulder with fiery charisma’ but beneath the sizzle is a unique and powerful voice.

Tender one moment and visceral the next, the singer soars like Emmy-Lou Harris to Mariah Carey at the drop of a hat and offers her deeply emotional songwriting like a prayer.
