THE BYRON Bay and Northern Rivers chapter of the Fabulous Ladies Wine Society (FLWS) is hosting a five-course dinner and wine tasting with special guest Emma Raidis of the Coonawarra winery Raidis Estate.

The society’s second event of the year at Forest at Crystalbrook is the opening affair of the 2024 Sample Festival and features a five-course dinner with eight matching Raidis wines.

The sustainably produced Raidis Estate wines are known for their philosophy and famous labels featuring goats—the animal is a crucial element of their vineyard’s sustainability, maintaining weeds and eliminating chemicals.

Raidis and her husband Steven have built a vibrant winery, pushing boundaries with wine styles and varieties. The winery’s output has been a society favourite for the last decade, although it has been seven years since Raidis’s last visit to the Northern Rivers.

Hosted by FLWS founder Jane Thomson and Raidis, the event at Forest offers an introduction to the wines and story of Raidis Estate. It includes prizes and giveaways and promises fun and friendship in a group of like-minded women.

The FLWS is Australia’s largest wine community for women and is free to join. It aims to bring together women who love wine and to introduce women wine producers in an evening of wining, dining, learning and laughing.

Members receive a $25 discount on the ticket price for the Thursday, August 29 event starting at 6.30 pm.
