THE BRAIN Injury Community Inc (TBIC) is presenting a fish and chips picnic by the Tweed River on Friday,

August 16, from 11 am. The event, supported by Social Futures, is an all-inclusive event for brain injury (BI) survivors, their families, and friends.

The inclusive picnic lunch is a comforting space, where people living with and recovering from brain injuries can connect with others who truly understand the lifestyle and challenges of BI survival. This event is not for service provider agencies, but for survivors and their support networks.

The event is not just about meeting and connecting with other members of the broader BI community, it also aims for participants to have a great time. The day’s activity menu is filled with laughter, and a variety of amusing and nostalgic games for all abilities. It’s a day to enjoy, have fun, and make new memories.

Gatherings like the riverside picnic provide the TBIC community with a warm and welcoming environment, good food, great company and a beautiful riverside atmosphere.

Lunch will be provided by Scales Seafood as well as refreshments for members, carers and support persons. Please advise of any dietary requirements when booking your ticket. The cost is $5 per person, and companion cards are accepted. Parking is free.
