His talent and passion have left a lasting impression on generations of audiences including his work with supergroup Tex, Don and Charlie, Beasts of Bourbon, The New Christs and his collaborations with Louis Tillett, Paul Kelly, Tendrills and Working Class Ringos.
Owen consistently his musical boundaries and is known for his ferocious yet tender performances.
The multi-instrumentalist is at home on guitar, bass guitar, piano, organ, drums and percussion, dobro, lap steel, banjo and organ, and was listed by Australian Guitar Magazine in the Top 40 of Australia’s best guitarists.

Searching for Charlie Owen premieres at the Citadel on Saturday, August 10 with guest artist Andrew Kidman opening the show at 7pm and Owen taking the stage at 8pm.
