WHILE the team behind Nudge Nudge Wink Wink promises their latest gig will have your feet dancing and your heart smiling, it’s a party with a purpose.

The team has planned an “epic long weekend of feel-good beats, belly laughs, and community spirit”.

Funds from the event will help support the Byron Youth Service – an organisation empowering young people through safe spaces, creative programs and individual casework.

The team, made up of Darren and Sarah Sutton, Laura Peck and Dale Stephen, devote themselves to creating the Nudge Nudge Wink Wink and Curious fundraising events.

Their organisation, Cunning Stunts, regularly holds events that bring together collective artistic skills, knowledge and community spirit to create awareness and raise funds for local charities.

Since December 2015, the community events have raised $411,723 to help 39 local charities that cover homelessness, women’s support, domestic violence, youth and LGBTIQ+ issues, and local community centres.

This weekend’s event is on tomorrow from 4pm to 11pm, and is a ticketed 18-plus event at The Shed, at The Billinudgel Hotel.

The lineup includes DJs Abel Toro and BC joining Cunning Stunts’ resident DJs Lord Sut and Dale Stephen.

Abel Toro has been on the electronic music scene since the 1990s and has shared a stage with The Chemical Brothers and Primal Scream.

Sydney-based DJ BC is a first-timer to the Nudge Nudge stage and brings an all-vinyl set that spans genres and decades, from disco to hip-hop soul. Lord Sut and Dale Stephen promise to get up to their usual mischief as they deliver the beats.
