THE Reconstruction Authority (RA) is inviting Tweed businesses to participate in a free online learning program to strengthen business resilience.

An information session will present the Business Beyond Disasters programs at the Murwillumbah Civic Centre on Tuesday, February 25, at 4 pm.

Businesses can align their program to their sector, and the categories include retail, professional services and education, agribusiness and aqua business, tourism, health and social services, and construction, trade and manufacturing.

Specialists in business and community risk reduction and resilience Resilient Ready will deliver the program, funded by the Australian Government and NSW Government’s Disaster Ready Fund.

Business Beyond Disasters begins in March 2025 and runs over 10 weeks, helping participants with strategies to help businesses recover quickly after a disaster and adapt to future challenges.

The online program features weekly, five-minute online learning modules designed to encourage participants to ‘think and do differently,’ with weekly online check-ins to connect and share with other participants and links to support resources and services.

Local businesspeople will be provided light refreshments and learn a new approach to business resilience.

Representatives from key agencies and emergency services will attend the information session, including RA, to share updates on adaptation planning.

Entry is free, but bookings are required. For tickets, visit events.humanitix.com/business-beyond-disasters-murwillumbah-information-session
