Celebrating Ballina businesses with 2024 Excellence Awards

BALLINA Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Excellence Awards 2024 drew a large crowd on the weekend, with some clear business favourites taking out the awards.

Comedian Mark McConville and Ballina Chamber of Commerce president Andy Vidler shared MC duties, while executive officer Jon Dickson handed out the awards.

Business of the Year 2024 went to multi-award winning ENV Solutions, who also won the Excellence in Sustainability, and was a dual winner for the Excellence in Large Business Award.

“Sustainability is really the heart of ENV, and to win an award like this is amazing,” ENV Solutions chief executive officer James Foster said.

Other notable winners were multi-award winning Collins Hume, the other dual winner of the Excellence in Large Business Award, as well as the Excellence in Business and Professional Services. New Age Electrical won the Excellence in Trade, Hartley’s Fresh Market won the Excellence in Retail, and Federal Hotel Alstonville won the Excellence in Hospitality. Event host Ballina RSL won Outstanding Visitor Experience.

 

Biala Support Services won Outstanding Community Organisation, and chief executive officer Lisa Smith, thanked the Ballina community.

“We have been here 55 years and appreciate the support of the community, and let’s keep getting disability talked about,” she said.

Event sponsors Ballina RSL, Business NSW, Crowley Care, Cherry Sports Group, Paradise FM, NAB, Treasury Wine Estates, Stone and Wood, MOCO Food Services and Ballina Times all contributed to celebrate the shire’s business excellence.
