Construction starts on new retail precinct at Lennox Head
CONSTRUCTION on a new retail precinct at Lennox Head has started, with the expansion set to deliver eight new lots for businesses at Epiq Marketplace.
Property developer and funds manager Clarence Property held an official launch event for the project earlier this week.
Clarence Property chief executive Simon Kennedy said the expansion reflects confidence in the region’s growth, which has surged in recent years.
There has already been strong interest, with two of the lots now filled.
“Epiq Marketplace has cemented itself as an important and convenient retail destination for locals and visitors alike,” Mr Kennedy said.
“This next stage will further strengthen the retail offering within Epiq, providing more opportunities for local businesses and services to thrive in a high-traffic location that benefits from Lennox Head’s growing population and tourism appeal.
“We are targeting a mix of service-based offerings and retail operators to complement the existing marketplace.”
The development has become a vital retail hub for locals and holidaymakers.
With anchor tenants Woolworths, BWS, and Chempro already in place, the expansion will add further retail and office space to meet the area’s growing needs.
Epiq Marketplace also includes a childcare centre and is located opposite the local sporting fields.
In 2023, the NSW Department of Education approved the purchase of a Super Lot for the relocation of the local primary school.
Mr Kennedy said Clarence Property’s commitment to Lennox Head remains strong, with continued investment planned for future projects.
“We are proud of what Epiq has brought to the community and look forward to delivering this next phase, which will build on our vision of creating vibrant, sustainable, and well-serviced neighbourhoods,” he said.
“Importantly, it provides a valuable pathway for local and small business owners to establish themselves in a premium location, which in turn fosters economic resilience and community connection.”
