INDUSTRY experts will share first-hand experiences with Northern Rivers residents at a free business expo aimed at supporting grassroots projects.
The ETC Employment and Training group will run its MySmallBiz Expo at Lismore Workers Club on Wednesday, June 18.
The event will feature presentations and stalls where local business owners can showcase their work.
It aims to celebrate start-up businesses with a focus on nurturing local entrepreneurship.
“The Entrepreneurship Expos are part of our commitment to supporting the growth and development of small businesses in the communities where we operate,” ETC program manager Selena Baillie said.
“We invite anyone who is interested in entrepreneurship and self-employment to join us at our event and experience the benefits of being part of a supportive and vibrant small business community.”
A similar event was held at Ballina RSL Club last year, with local stallholders attending.
The expos are held across NSW and Queensland, with several businesses shifting to online models after adapting during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event will also include recycled art and stories from people who’ve turned hobbies into full-time businesses.
Past guest speakers have included people who left corporate jobs to start their own businesses from home.
Participants need to register for the event at etcltd.com.au/mysmallbiz-expos/
It runs from 11am to 2pm.
