Lanes sell Copperstone Ranch for reported $30 million
While the exact sale price and the buyer’s identity remain confidential, real estate agent Kim Jones of Kim Jones & Co. confirmed the sale of the luxury estate, located just outside Bangalow.
“It’s awesome – I was working on it for six months so it’s great it sold to a lovely family,” Ms Jones said. “The vendors are so happy. It means so much to them that it’s going to someone who will love it as much as them.”

Set on 48 acres, Copperstone Ranch features a five-bedroom homestead constructed using organic and recycled materials. The estate also includes a games room, indoor cinema, pool house, tennis court, Argentinian-style stables and a wellness retreat complete with a sauna, steam room and ice bath.
Tom Lane is the grandson of Boyd Lane, founder of the iconic Oroton fashion label. Together with his wife Emma, Tom co-founded The Farm at Byron Bay and The Range Estates — a collection of luxury properties inspired by both European and Australian heritage.
Ms Jones previously sold another Lane property, The Range at Coopers Shoot, for $37 million in April 2024.

She is also nearing a deal on another prestigious listing, Hinterland House in Bangalow, which has an asking price of around $15 million.
Ms Jones noted that selling high-end properties in the Byron Bay hinterland often requires extended marketing campaigns.
“In Sydney you sell properties in six weeks but when you’re talking high end properties in rural and holiday areas you need a minimum of six months because generally the people who can afford to buy it are busy people who have to fly in from interstate or overseas,” she said. “You have to give them time to come.”
