COMMUNITY support and new funding have ensured the Love Lennox Festival will go ahead as a free event on Saturday, June 14.

Funds raised at a recent community night at Club Lennox Sports helped cover rising costs, while new sponsors and volunteers have come on board to support the full program.

The festival will include everything from dog shows to group surfing events, with the main street of Lennox Head closed and packed with street stalls, entertainers, musicians and artists.

Lennox Head Chamber of Commerce president Michelle Bailey said the event celebrated the area’s strong community spirit.

“This festival is more than just an event; it’s an opportunity to reinforce the bonds that make Lennox Head a wonderful place to live and work,” Ms Bailey said.

“It’s also a platform for our businesses, who play a vital role in making this event a success.”

Local food vendors will take part in the Flavours of Lennox competition.

Proceeds from the dog show raffle will be donated to the Northern Rivers Animal Service.

The group surfing event includes a lesson and guided paddle out in front of the Lennox Hotel. Participants must register through Surf Getaways or Let’s Go Surfing.

A shuttle bus will operate from Ballina and surrounding areas. People attending are encouraged to walk or use the nearest shuttle stop.

Local singer Lily-Grace Grant will be among the performers.
