MENTAL health services across NSW remain available over the festive season, with additional support in place for people who may find the period challenging.

For many, the end of year can bring increased stress, isolation or emotional pressure alongside celebrations.

Mental health is a key part of overall wellbeing, and maintaining it can help people stay resilient as they move into the new year.

Simple actions such as staying connected, keeping active and reaching out for help when needed can support emotional wellbeing.

Looking after mental health does not require major changes and can begin with small steps like checking in with yourself or someone close to you.

NSW Health operates a statewide Mental Health Line on 1800 011 511, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, linking callers with public mental health services.

People in regional and rural NSW can also access specialist support through disaster response mental health programs.

These include the Farmgate Support Program, which provides mental and emotional wellbeing support to farmers, farming communities and the agricultural sector, the Rural Adversity Mental Health Program, and Disaster Recovery Clinicians working across regional NSW.

Access to the Farmgate Support Program and Disaster Recovery Clinicians is available through the Mental Health Line on 1800 011 511.
