Regional event funding now open
THE Regional Event Fund for 2025/26 is now open to assist events that contribute to the unique character of regional NSW to market themselves to visitors.
Applicants can select from one of three Destination NSW-managed grant program streams.
The Incubator Event stream supports new events in their first or second years with up to $20,000 of seed funding for activities likely to establish an event as a driver of visitation.
Emerging events running for over two years can apply to the Flagship Event stream for grants of $20,000 to increase their profile and encourage visitation. Events that have already received the maximum of three annual grants will be eligible for $30,000 over three years.
In the Event Development stream, established and proven events that have previously received and completed triennial funding through this stream can receive grants of up to $50,000 to support growth initiatives in the event’s strategic plan.
Eligible applicants must be the event owner, own the rights to the event, and hold the relevant approvals.
Eligible submissions must be financially solvent, have an Australian Business Number (ABN), be a sole trader, company, incorporated association, or trust entity and have at least $20 million public liability insurance, or be able to secure before entering into a Funding Agreement.
