Share your vision for Byron’s beloved halls
Whether you regularly use the halls, hire them for events, or simply have ideas to share, the Council wants to hear from you. A community survey is now open, and feedback is encouraged before the deadline on May 18.
Used for everything from classes and workshops to community meetings and private functions, these halls play a central role in the social fabric of the Shire.
“We want to make improvements to bookings, accessibility and the quality of the facilities on offer in these halls and we’d value input and ideas from the community about their experiences of these halls and what they’d like to see happen,” Council’s director of community and corporate services Esmeralda Davis said.
“The community’s ideas and views will help us shape our plans for the future and will be included in information presented to Council mid-year.”
The halls included in the consultation are Bangalow A&I Hall, Moller Pavilion and the Scout Hall at Bangalow Showgrounds, Brunswick Heads Memorial Hall, Mullumbimby Civic Memorial Hall, Ocean Shores Community Centre, South Golden Beach Hall, Suffolk Park Community Hall, Durrumbul Hall at Main Arm, and the recently renovated Marvell Hall at Byron Bay.
