BALLINA Shire Council will auction six ready-to-build residential blocks in Wollongbar on August 6.

The Avalon Avenue lots range from 600 to 820 square metres and are fully registered for immediate construction.

Council manager commercial services Paul Tsikleas said unlocking well-located land would help meet local housing demand and generate revenue for council services.

“These blocks offer the ideal foundation to build a home in a location that ticks all the boxes – lifestyle, location and community,” he said.

Mayor Sharon Cadwallader said Wollongbar’s peaceful setting, local schools, shops and easy access to Ballina and Lismore made it a popular choice for families.

The auction will take place at Lennox Head Cultural Centre, with registrations from 5pm and bidding from 6pm.
