THE 2025 Winter Ball is set to raise thousands for local children’s charity Our Kids when it returns to the Lismore Turf Club on Saturday, May 31.

One of the group’s major annual fundraisers, the black tie event has raised more than $200,000 since it began nearly 20 years ago.

Last year’s ball brought in a record $33,000 to help purchase lifesaving paediatric equipment for the Children’s Ward and Special Care Nursery at Lismore Base Hospital.

Funds also support hospitals across the Northern Rivers, with more than $2.5 million invested by the charity to help children access care closer to home.

O’Brien Electrical and Plumbing has come on board as the new naming rights sponsor for this year’s event, which will include dinner, live music and fundraising auctions.

Our Kids fundraising coordinator Rebekka Battista said the evening was always a highlight.

“The support for the Winter Ball is just beautiful,” Ms Battista said.

“We are so grateful to O’Brien Electrical and Plumbing and our early sponsors for their commitment to helping local children and families.”

About 250 people are expected to attend, with a gourmet menu curated by The Secret Chef and service from volunteers and students from Trinity Catholic College and the Lismore Lions Club.

Entertainment will include live music by the Cath Simes Band.
