THE Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre (TRAC) is gearing up for spring holiday fun at its three centres across the Tweed.

Kingscliff Pool offers school holiday Learn to Swim intensives from Monday, September 30 to Friday, October 4.

The five-day program offers great value and can boost confidence and swimming skills before the summer season starts.

At Murwillumbah, it’s slide time again, covering both NSW and Queensland school holidays until Sunday, October 13, from 10am to 3pm every day.

The slide will remain open on weekends after the holidays throughout summer.

The Starting Block Cafe at Murwillumbah is now open

seven days a week for coffee, breakfast and lunch.

Term four Learn to Swim classes will run nine weeks from Monday, October 14 to Saturday, December 14 in all facilities, including the Tweed Heads South Pool.

The half-hour classes require goggles and caps, and TRAC accepts Active Kids and First Lap vouchers.

Squad training in all facilities will continue as usual during the spring vacation except for public holidays.

The TRAC squad swim team competed at the challenging Queensland Short Course Championships last month, which hosted some of the best and fastest in the state.

The Tweed crew garnered 28 personal best times (PBs) out of 31 races. Brothers and teammates Raf and Finn collectively raced in 20 events and produced 19 PBs.

TRAC swim schools provide a nurturing, safe and fun environment for all ages. Children as young as six months can develop the confidence to learn, grow and discover their love for the water.

Adults can build swimming skills, fitness and relaxation techniques in the water at any age.
