The Lismore Cycling Festival is also on the calendar, scheduled for the Labour Day long weekend from October 5-6.<\/p>\n
Hosted by the Byron Bay Cycling Club, the festival will feature a criterium in Lismore around Oakes Oval on October 5.<\/p>\n
Sunday morning will see the Grand Fondo with two ride lengths available.<\/p>\n
“The first one is called the ‘Flatlands Route,’ which is a pretty easy ride, not too much climbing at all,” Mr Johnson said.<\/p>\n
“It’s 28 kilometres and pitched at first-timers.”<\/p>\n
“The longer distance ride is about 110 kilometres and has a number of challenging climbs.”<\/p>\n
“It’s a challenging ride which we are calling the Rainbow Macca Chase.”<\/p>\n
Mr Johnson said cycling enthusiasts of all levels are encouraged to participate and enjoy the variety of events planned for the coming months.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
