Thrilling kids’ theatre show The Librarian invites young audiences to discover the passion of reading and the power of the imagination, which can whisk readers away to adventures in faraway lands.<\/p>\n

Meet Paul-\u00c9mile Dumoulin, a seemingly ordinary librarian who, once engrossed in a book, transforms into a whimsical character.<\/p>\n

His adventures lead him to perform acrobatics, balancing, juggling, break dancing, and beatboxing, turning the sensible librarian into a source of endless amusement.<\/p>\n

Blending clowning, physical theatre and the circus arts, the show by Canadian-based company Le Gros Orteil is aimed at audiences aged 5 to 12.<\/p>\n

Starring Hippolyte, the multidisciplinary artist studied dramatic arts for four years in France. He began his career as a street performer in New Zealand, Australia, France, Quebec, Indonesia, Bolivia, Peru and Palestine.<\/p>\n

He has trained as a physical actor in acrobatics with Dynamo Theatre and with giant puppets at Le Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de la Dame de Coeur.<\/p>\n

Hippolyte has since been interpreting physical characters for various companies such as Le Gros Orteil, Cirquantique and Cavaland.<\/p>\n

Le Gros Orteil’s company mission is to inspire young audiences with high-quality shows that combine the disciplines of clown, theatre, and circus.<\/p>\n

By advocating improvisation, truthful emotions, and interaction with the audience, the show encourages the flourishing of imagination and the exploration of themes such as travelling and dreaming.<\/p>\n
