Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In addition representatives from contractor CMC Pty Ltd were in attendance at the event. CMC was awarded the tender to restore the three sites on Kyogle Road and the Mount Warning Road repair in February 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The Council said that the $39 million repair was completed at the end of 2024 on time and on budget.<\/p>\n<p>The critical works between Uki and Byangum Bridge mark a significant milestone in Tweed&#8217;s flood restoration program and represent an enormous step forward in the Tweed Shire&#8217;s long and complex restoration program.<\/p>\n<p>More than $132 million has been spent on road works and repairs to date.<\/p>\n<p>An additional $100 million of further restorations in the region will begin early this year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A MAJOR flood restoration project on Kyogle Road west of Murwillumbah has reopened after two years of repairs, following damage caused by the devastating 2022 floods.
