Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Accompanied by a voiceover by the contemporary artist and an original score by Australian composer Lawrence English, the work follows the story of a young woman torn between her duty as a daughter and her desire for independence through a series of moving images that shift in colour, intensity and scale.<\/p>\n<p>Lee said she was excited for Enlighten visitors to experience the ancient Zen story through the installation, which links the vastness of the cosmos with the intimacy of individual lives.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2025\/02\/TheLindyLeeexhibitio_95949.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Charred Forest in the Lindy Lee exhibition at the National Gallery of Australia. Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Cosmos is the length, depth and breadth of everything that has ever existed, exists now, and will exist in the future,&#8221; she said. &#8220;It is intrinsic to us, and we to it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Lee&#8217;s $14 million immersive sculpture Ouroboros, which is based on the ancient image of a snake eating its own tail, also went on permanent display in the gallery&#8217;s National Sculpture Garden in October.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2025\/02\/Anartistimpressionof_98537.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">An artist&#8217;s impression of Lindy Lee&#8217;s 100 Flowers Falling at the National Gallery of Australia.
