TWEED will host one of 10 statewide stops on the NSW Department of Education’s 2025 Schools Roadshow, with senior officials set to meet local principals and educators later this month.<\/p>\n
More than 1000 public school leaders across NSW are expected to take part in the roadshow, which aims to improve student outcomes by putting regional voices at the centre of education planning.<\/p>\n
Secretary Murat Dizdar and members of the department’s senior executive team will visit Tweed River High School on May 27 to meet with principals and school leaders from across the region.<\/p>\n
“This is not just a one-way conversation, it’s a chance to listen, to learn and to lead together,” Dizdar said.<\/p>\n
The department said the workshops would give educators a forum to discuss key priorities such as staffing, infrastructure, student wellbeing, curriculum delivery and evidence-based teaching.<\/p>\n
Dizdar said regional input was crucial to shaping education policy that reflects on-the-ground challenges.<\/p>\n
“We want to understand the local realities – the barriers, the success stories and the support needed – to help every student succeed,” he said.<\/p>\n
“We want to ensure every student, no matter where they live, has access to a world class education \u2013 and that requires maintaining understanding of the realities on the ground.”<\/p>\n
The Tweed visit is part of a broader push to improve equity for students in regional, rural and remote areas, under the department’s Our Plan for NSW Public Education.<\/p>\n
The 2025 Schools Roadshow will also visit Batemans Bay, Orange, Inverell, Albury and other locations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
