The next warning is expected to be issued by 6:50 pm EDT.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"445\" data-end=\"603\">A major band of hazardous conditions is pushing towards southern Queensland and into northern NSW, senior Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Angus Hines warned.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The (expected) strong winds are certainly enough to bring down branches, maybe enough to bring down entire trees,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Severe Weather Update 1 November 2025: Dangerous thunderstorm outbreak in Qld and NSW<\/p>\n<p>Video current as of 11.30am AEDT 1 November 2025.<\/p>\n<p>For the latest forecasts and warnings, go to our website <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/4W35o8iFmh\">https:\/\/t.co\/4W35o8iFmh<\/a> or the BOM Weather app. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/7fiEF5rqHZ\">pic.twitter.com\/7fiEF5rqHZ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Bureau of Meteorology, Australia (@BOM_au) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BOM_au\/status\/1984441409416630736?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 1, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Those trees, of course, can fall onto cars, fall onto houses and cause significant damage.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We can also see dangerous travel conditions, flooded roads and possible isolation of streets and locations.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s going to be a lot of stress on the power network, particularly a chance for power outages.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Hailstones up to 8cm in diameter pounding much of the region were &#8220;absolutely possible&#8221;, Mr Hines said.<\/p>\n<p>The storms were expected to continue throughout Saturday evening and into Sunday in some areas.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s lots of places, and more importantly, lots of people, that could be impacted by severe thunderstorms later on today, and if that happens, some of the impacts could get pretty serious.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The impact zone included Tamworth, Glen Innes and across to Moree, while there was a chance some storm activity would reach major coastal communities including Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Grafton, Ballina, Lismore and Byron Bay.<\/p>\n<p>In QLD, the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Noosa Heads and inland up through the Burnett region were in the firing line, Mr Hines said.<\/p>\n<p>Kingaroy, Gympie and as far north as Biloela and as far west as Roma &#8211; including the Darling Downs centres of Toowoomba, Dalby and Warwick &#8211; were all likely in for a rough time.<\/p>\n<p>The dire forecast follows Thursday&#8217;s fatal lightning strike on the Sunshine Coast.<\/p>\n<p>Finley Bone, 21, was fatally hit by the bolt during soccer training at Cooroy.
