EMERGING artists from Byron Community College have showcased their work at an end-of-year exhibition celebrating students in the Certificate III in Visual Arts course.<\/p>\n

The exhibition featured pieces created during the eight-month program, which began in May and brought together 22 students aged 16 to 77.<\/p>\n

Students worked across ceramics, textiles, printmaking, drawing, painting and sculpture.<\/p>\n

The show at the Laneway Studio presented a mix of ceramics, mixed-media works, prints, drawings and sculptural pieces.<\/p>\n

Course trainer Virginia Reid said the exhibition marked an important moment for the group.<\/p>\n

“Watching these students evolve, experiment and push themselves creatively has been a privilege. Their dedication and courage to try new mediums really shows in this exhibition.”<\/p>\n

Student Caroline Price said the course was transformative.<\/p>\n

“I hadn’t picked up a paintbrush in years, and now I’ve created work I’m genuinely proud of. The support from the trainers and other students made all the difference, it felt like being part of a real artistic community.”<\/p>\n

Byron Community College CEO Anne Stovin said the range of work reflected the strength of community education.<\/p>\n

“This group represents the heart of community education, people of all ages coming together to learn, grow and express themselves. Their work is truly inspiring.”<\/p>\n

The Certificate III in Visual Arts offers a foundation for further study, creative careers or personal practice.<\/p>\n
