Photo: ANGELA SAURINE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;With the cost-of-living crisis it&#8217;s so important to provide opportunities for families to socialise and make connections,&#8221; Connecting Generations Bangalow&#8217;s founder Ruth Winton-Brown said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There was lots of very positive feedback about the barbecue and the drumming circle.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Winton-Brown said she enjoyed seeing the multi-generational involvement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The oldies joined in with the drumming circle and liked it as much as the little kids,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2025\/11\/NolanLekayonthebarbe_84652.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"490\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Nolan Lekay cooking sausages at Bangalow Heritage House and Museum.
