{"id":119733,"date":"2025-12-05T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-12-04T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/byroncoasttimes\/?p=119733"},"modified":"2025-12-04T16:24:50","modified_gmt":"2025-12-04T05:24:50","slug":"byron-theatres-speakeasy-is-returning-and-the-line-up-is-huge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/byroncoasttimes\/living\/byron-theatres-speakeasy-is-returning-and-the-line-up-is-huge\/","title":{"rendered":"Byron Theatre\u2019s speakeasy is returning \u2013 and the line-up is huge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.byroncentre.com.au\/bct\/byron-theatre\">BYRON Theatre<\/a> will step back in time this summer, transforming into a prohibition-era nightclub complete with candlelit tables and sophisticated cocktails for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.byroncentre.com.au\/theatre-event-categories\/speakeasy\">Byron Speakeasy<\/a> performance series.<\/p>\n<p>Blues, jazz and reggae favourite Pat Powell of the Melbourne Ska Orchestra, ARIA Award-winning former The Voice contestant Karise Eden and powerhouse jazz vocalist Emma Pask are among the performers lined up for the six-night program, running from January 2 to 10.<\/p>\n<p>The bill also features internationally acclaimed jazz bassist and vocalist Nicki Parrott, known for performing with guitar greats including Paul McCartney and Tommy Emmanuel as part of the Les Paul Trio, as well as in numerous Broadway productions in New York.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/29\/2025\/12\/EmmaPask.PhotoSUPPLI_51025.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"750\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Powerhouse jazz vocalist Emma Pask.
