A NEW summer exhibition by local artist Melodie C is now showing at Byron Spaces Gallery, exploring emotion, movement and personal connection through a series of expressive paintings.<\/p>\n
The exhibition, titled Melodyssey, opened this month and runs until the end of February at the Byron Community Centre in Byron Bay.<\/p>\n
Presented under the name Melodyssey, Melodie C\u2019s work draws on what she describes as a personal artistic journey, with pieces drawn from her Emotionism series.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy name is Melodie C, but I choose to sign my paintings as Melodyssey, a statement that reflects my heartfelt belief that my art is my odyssey.\u201d<\/p>\n
The exhibition centres on intuitive responses to colour and form, with visitors encouraged to engage with the works at their own pace.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn my paintings, I give shape to what cannot be seen but can only be felt. What you see is what you feel.\u201d<\/p>\n
Byron Spaces coordinator Carl Taylor said the exhibition aligned with the gallery\u2019s aim of supporting local artists and offering accessible cultural experiences.<\/p>\n
