This exhibition brings together vibrant new textile and photographic works that reimagine the ephemera, icons and imagery of Australia\u2019s Sunrise Strip. Drawing partly on the Tweed Regional Museum Collection, postcards, souvenirs and signage are transformed into sequins and spandex. Costumed figures dissolve beneath sculptural forms in photographic worlds evoking the landscape of coastal Australiana. Sunburn is a love letter to Tweed and the borderlands, celebrating the lurid, the leisurely and the lowbrow.
