August 19, 2021 BY

Bones MMA welcomes everyone from absolute first timers, children and adults.

Bones MMA is owned and operated by Matt and Lani Williams, a husband and wife team from Torquay.

The gym teaches martial arts in a range of specialist areas, including Muay Thai (Thai Boxing), Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Wrestling. Classes are offered for kids to adults, with a huge timetable on offer. Lani provides assurance that the sign at the front door saying ‘no tough guys’ is not just for laughs.

“Bones MMA welcomes absolute first-timers, children, mums and dads. We want everybody to feel welcome and comfortable no matter what stage of their journey they are at – from absolute beginner to professional athlete,” Lani said.

She believes the biggest hurdle in martial arts is just stepping through the front door for the first time.

“There are lingering perceptions of what a martial art gym is. “People comment when they come into Bones MMA that they can’t believe how white and clean everything is.

“I think most first-timers are really surprised at how friendly and accommodating the coaches and other members are.

We have a strong community vibe that people love.

” Bones MMA have no contracts, and at just $39 a week participants get access to a ton of classes and expert coaches.

They offer a free trial so you can see if the vibe is for you. The gym is located at 36/10 Cylinders way, Torquay, just behind Bunnings.
