Dance lovers are sure to get their hips moving next weekend when Australian electronic music duo Bag Raiders roll into town.

The hitmakers are locked in and sure to blow the roof off the Torquay Hotel with one of their high-energy sets on August 3.

Formed in 2006 by Jack Glass and Chris Stracey, Bag Raiders have raced up the charts with songs including quadruple platinum tune “Shooting Stars”, dance anthem “Sunlight” and the pulsing “Way Back Home”.

At the moment, the duo are fully immersed in a tour of Europe and Asia, and have big shows coming up in Spain, Paris, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Responding to this newspaper during a break in their schedule, Glass and Stracey said they couldn’t wait to play their first show at the Torquay Hotel when they return to home soil.

“We’ll be playing all the classics, plus the new ones, plus some unreleased secret IDs we’re testing for the future! It’s going to be a scorcher!

“We’ve played a couple of shows in Torquay itself before. The last one was very hot, with Cosmos Midnight.

“We love the crowd down there, they’re always ready to let loose and dance and have a good time. Looking forward to it.”

The duo said music fans could expect a “straight-up club heater” from new single “Save Me”, created with noted French DJ and producer Boston Bun.

“It’s no-nonsense. High-energy vocals, big drums, big bass, big lead, it’s charging; that’s for sure.

“It’s in collaboration with Boston Bun, a French producer whose music we know and love.

“We’re so pumped about this song and are very happy it’s finally out, and the response has been awesome.”
