Straight from the United Kingdom, The Shamrock Tenors are headed for Australia with a three-month tour.

Taking to the stage with their fresh take on Irish music, the group is making their way to Geelong Arts Centre for a performance on September 7.

Their upcoming performances follow on from a string of sold-out shows across the UK, including in front of 20,000 fans at London’s Trafalgar Square.

The group will combine theatre with Irish tradition, bringing an energy to the classics including Danny Boy, Whiskey in the Jar, The Parting Glass and more.

Founder and ground member Raymond Walsh said Irish music is all about enjoyment, letting loose and leaving all your worries at the door.

“We wanted to bring that authentic taste of Ireland. We want people to feel theatre as if they could be in a bar in Galway,” he said.

Made up of Jimmy Johnston, Matthew Campbell, Raymond Walsh, Jack Walsh and the newly added Nathan Johnston, the Shamrock Tenors invite audiences to experience the Emerald Isle like never before.

Across their career the five-piece harmony has reached global success, headlining St Patrick’s Day celebrations and performing to a sold-out crowd at London’s Adelphi Theatre, among their triumphs.
