A fusion of dance, acrobatics and live music will come together when the critically acclaimed Cirque Africa take the stage in Geelong next weekend.

Part of a national tour spanning over four months, the show features some of Africa’s best talent.

Having performed for more than two million people across the world, the African troupe’s new performance is bound to captivate audiences and immerse them in African culture.

Across two hours, audience members will experience, acrobatics, contortion, traditional dance, pan spinning and more.

Troupe member Mohamed Pengo said it was a show not to be missed and the audience can expect a “different pool of energy.”

“In the show we have a lot of fun and joy, the audience can come in any age, it doesn’t matter, boys and girls can also watch the show, everything is 100 per cent African, there’s a lot of African dance.”

Mr Pengo does the Rola Bola as part of the show, using a cylinder pipe while balancing to build a tower.

The show is produced and directed by Winston Ruddle, also known as ‘Papa Africa’, who also produced Cirque Mother Africa, which toured last year and included a performance in Geelong.

Mr Pengo said those heading along to this year’s performance can expect something completely different and a show that’s not to be missed.

“Everyone is invited to bring their friends and family, tell everyone they know on social media.”

Cirque Africa will perform at Costa Hall on October 18.
